About me:
I am a 20 something living in Pittsburgh with my Husband John, and my two cats, Finley and Curry. I work as a full time nanny split between 3 families with kinds ranging from babies to preteens. As you can imagine, my days are messy and sometimes hectic, but fun too (most of the time…) When I am not working, I love cooking and baking (obviously), exploring Pittsburgh with John (sometimes on our bikes, sometimes not), eating at new restaurants, going on weekend trips, visiting family and friends, and having friends and family visit us.
I would always find a recipe that we loved or make up something really delicious and then when I went to make it again, I couldn’t remember where I found the recipe, or what exactly I had put in it. So I decided why not have one spot where I keep all of these recipes? Thus how Cheer and Chow was started! I originally started it for my own benefit as my go to spot for my favorite “tried and true” recipes, but have since grown to love blogging and sharing recipes.
About this blog:
I have the mindset, if you can make something that is healthy, but still delicious and fulfilling then why not make it? The majority of my recipes are, for the most part, healthy and I try to always use only natural ingredients. If I can get the ingredients straight from the farm, even better!
Although I love to eat healthy most of the time, I also love to indulge. I have a humongous sweet tooth so I love to bake desserts, especially for other people (so I don’t eat all of it myself…because I probably would). Sometimes I make healthy desserts, but other times they are just desserts with sugar and butter and deliciousness. You will not find any artificial sweeteners or chemicals here. I believe that sugar and butter are OK for you, in moderation of course. But eating something real is so much tastier than something fake.
I hope you enjoy my blog! Thank you so much for checking it out! Comments, shares to friends, and feedback are always appreciated!
